Yumiko on Reform IssuesReform Issues Approval Voting is the Way of the Ninja A lot of people are talking about election reform right now, and it's true that we need to rid ourselves of the oafish anachronism which is the Electoral College, but we also need to examine the very way we vote. Currently, we can pick one and only one person; under the approval voting system, we can pick however many we want, which leads to a great many good things. There's math behind it and some examples you can look at, and if after looking it over, you don't think that approval voting beats our current system hands down, you're incompetent, and I personally dislike you. Unicode is the Future When the world wants to talk, it speaks Unicode. The Unicode Standard has been created to facilitate software internationalization, and it rocks the house! You can do cool stuff like mingle Devanagari and Arabic text... I swear, Unicode has characters you've never even dreamed of. If elected, I will work towards converting everything I can get my hands on to comply with the Unicode standard. |
