Yumiko on Economic Issues

Stealth Economics

"Stealth Economics" is the name I've given to a unique economic philosophy where economic hardships and negative market forces are confronted in the same manner as a team of stealth assassins might confront and defeat their adversary. Here's the quick version of how it works:

  1. Before we do anything, we need to prepare a team of EAs -- Economic Assasins -- for our plan to work. People showing promise of becoming an EA shall be trained from birth in order to develop a keen intuition about market forces and their behavior.
  2. Ever-vigilant EAs keep a close eye on the market, tracking market forces as they arise. The EA must pay attention not only to its behavioral patterns but also to its surroundings and environment; if he has any hope of defeating it, he must learn to exploit both.
  3. As soon as the market force turns hostile, it is time to spring into action. A team of skilled EAs make strategic market presences that surround the undesired market force, blocking its exit. It is imperative that the team be able to do this completely undetected.
  4. Once in place, the EAs must rely on intuition to discern the right time to strike at their foe. Every market force has a weakness -- they need only to exploit it, and it shall destroy itself from within. Just like the Death Star.
  5. The EA's then evacuate the market, leaving no sign of their presence.

Business is Evil

There shall be no place for business under my administration. Sorry, Corporate America, but I just don't like you.

Microsoft Must Be Destroyed

Keeping with the theme, it is obvious that Microsoft is a malicious presence in our world and should be burned to the ground, and its ashes buried. Metaphorically, of course -- burning down the Microsoft building would do naught but slow them down while they relocate to their true offices locaded in the bowels of Hell.

Microsoft is living proof of what can happen if those mad with corporate power are not held in check; they have wreaked havoc upon the entire computing industry, and are working daily to expand their empire, and thus their cold grasp of power over this world. Mark my words, if we do not stop them now, the future of Earth is a bleak one indeed.
