1. The first rule of Fight Fest is you tell all your friends about Fight Fest.

2. The second rule of Fight Fest is that this is all just a game.

3. Combatants participate in a series of one-on-one fights. This year, The preliminaries rounds consist of a division round robin (five rounds) plus two interdivision tag team matches and one three-way fight. After the preliminaries, the 12 division champions plus the four wildcards advance to the Tournament of Glory. This is a single-elimination tournament which lasts four rounds. Finally, this year's champion will get a chance to fight the winners of previous years for the honor of Champion of Time.

4. Judges (that's you!) submit their opinions on the results of each fight. Fight results are based exclusively on these ballots. In the case of a tie, the tournament overseer (that's me!) casts a single vote to break the tie.

5. Safe assumptions to make during judging:

• Fights are all-out and typically to the death.
• When nothing else is specified about a character, consider the first thing that comes to mind. If "Obi-Wan Kenobi" is one of the combatants, and I haven't specified Obi-Wan from Episode 1 versus Episode 2 or Episode 4, you just go by the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Obi-Wan.
• Console RPG rule: Combatants are allowed to stay in the inn between fights and recover all their wounds and fatigue from previous fights.
• Even if you give me a really, really good reason why a particular combatant should win a particular fight, I'm not going to weight your ballot or fudge the results. So don't even ask.
