The Story

Called by destiny, 72 noble warriors from across the universe and beyond have heard the call: The call to Fight.

The Rules

1. Combatants participate in a series of one-on-one fights. The first seven rounds consist of a five match round-robin to meet all other competitors in their division, as well as two randomly selected interdivision match-ups. Afterwards, the winners of all twelve divisions plus four wild cards will advance to the Tournament of Glory.

2. Judges (that's you!) submit their opinions on the results of each fight. Fight results are based exclusively on these ballots. In the case of a tie, the tournament overseer (that's me!) casts a single vote to break the tie.

3. Fights are all-out and typically to the death.

4. Combatants are allowed to stay in a console-RPG-style Inn prior to all matches, revitalizing (and ressurecting) them completely.

Speculations and Trash Talk

A special Fight Fest Bulletin Board has been set up for all the noise you want to bring.

Highlights

Jedi Defends Title on Mount Doom Responding to a broken-up distress signal from master Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi set off for Middle-Earth himself. Obi-wan, with very little to go on, did the best he could and sensed out across the lands for anything strong with the Dark Side. This, of course, led him to the One Ring.

At the same time, Aragorn, with the threat of Isengard dealt with, decided it would be best for the Company of the Ring to make for Mount Doom as quickly as possible before Sauron realized he no longer had to deal with Saruman and could concentrate on snatching the ring.

The two met at Mount Doom, Aragorn (who had been tossed the ring by Frodo at the base of the Mountain since he could climb the mountain faster than Frodo) sprinting up the Mountain with the ring in his right hand, and Obi-Wan, landing, conveniently, right at the top, lightsaber ready to take on anything that came at him. Soon enough, Aragorn burst onto the scene, ring in his right hand, and was just about to cast it into the fires when Obi-Wan cut the ring from Aragorn's hand with his lightsaber and it fell into the volcano anyway. Aragorn just stared at him, dumbfounded at how utterly un-called for that was, so Obi-Wan did what he does best and, with the force, threw Aragorn in to the volcano, too, and then took off.
