Powerful Mage Travels to New York, Attacks Rorschach
Unsettled by his recent unusual encounters, which he began to suspect were attempts to undermine his bid at godhood, Raistlin took a moment to do a quick bit of divination to try to locate who else might be planning an attack... he was led to one man, Rorschach, a vigilante who had begun to piece together Raistlin’s plan to alter time and ascend beyond mortal power (and had furthermore taken Raistlin’s red robes as a clear sign that he was a communist).
Deciding he needed to take the initiative this time, Raistlin opened a portal to high atop a building in New York where Rorschach was in the middle of a stakeout and confronted him. Rorschach had studied his opponent well, however, diffusing a lightning bolt by diving behind a lightning rod and extinguishing a fireball by blowing up a water tower and drenching the area, as Rorschach dove for Raistlin and pushed him over the edge. Watching him fall, believing he had won, Raistlin popped Rorschach between the eyes with a magic missile and then floated harmlessly to the ground.
Flash Saves Us from Cutest Threat to Universe Ever
After defeating Dr. Doom, Kirby peacefully floated out of Doomstadt and made his way back home... and though his defeat of Dr. Doom landed Kirby with Doom-like abilities, but what Kirby hadn’t counted on was that the will of Doom was strong and began to affect Kirby’s mind. Rather than head directly home to Popstar, Kirby made his way to seek out the galactic comet Nova and wish phenomenal cosmic power for himself. Many in Dream Land tried to stop him, but to no avail... the only way to stop him, it seemed, was if someone could beat him to Nova and make the first wish -- and the only man fast enough to do so was The Flash.
The Flash got the message while he was still on Beaumonde after beating Jayne in a high-speed fist fight, made his way at breakneck speeds towards Kirby’s whereabouts, and knocked the wind -- and the copied power -- right out of him with a sonic boom. Kirby’s first instinct was to chase after the Flash and copy his powers for the fight between them, but the Flash led him into one of those scrolling-screen levels, and flew through it so fast that Kirby got fatally squashed when the level obstacles collided with the invisible barrier on the left edge of the screen.
