Fifth Place Match: Westley, Bond Duel Wits in Pub
The Dread Pirate Roberts, known to some as Westley, met with Bond -- James Bond -- at a pub in Florin, each secretly intent on killing the other. Westley had a glass of wine, into which James Bond had snuck some iocane powder, and Bond had a martini, into which Westley had shaken some iocane powder as well. However, Westley had built up an immunity, and Bond was making use of a toxin filter, so the two had a very long awkward silence while waiting for the other to die.

Westley was the first to succumb to impatience, and so he stabbed Bond in the face with his sword.

Bronze Medal Match: Kratos Faces Off with Black Knight
After having lost to Wolverine, Kratos decided that the Gods of Olympus had abandoned him, and walked over to the nearest cliff to hurl himself off of.

However, one man stood in his way: the Black Knight, who seemed to have recovered well from his recent death.

"None shall pass," taunted the Black Knight.

Kratos, Infuriated, shouted back, "Mangy beast, I shall send you back to the depths of Hades!" and tore the Black Knight's arms off.

The Black Knight didn't seem to mind. "I've had worse!"

Kratos then drew the Blades of Chaos and chopped the Black Knight into a thousand pieces, then turned to the sky in angst -- "By the gods, what have I become?"

Gold Medal Match: River and Wolvie Clash over '07 Title
"To me, my X-Men!"

Professor X summoned the X-Men with news of a dangerous fugitive -- River Tam -- who had recently landed on the planet Earth. As River was giving off a very strong telepathic signal, Xavier was able to guide the X-Men to her location -- but she sensed their intent before they arrived and was able to get Serenity started up, and took off just as the X-Men were arriving on the scene. Colossus then threw Wolverine up at Serenity, where he clawed through the hull and sniffed out River.

"Looks like you've got nowhere left to run, " grunted Wolverine.

River knew he was coming in advance, and was waiting for him on the bridge. But... she wasn't watching Wolvie. She was watching a Fruity Oaty Bar commercial. She turned to face Wolverine and said only a single word -- "Miranda" -- before launching into honed assassin mode.

River dodged every swipe and jab Wolverine before he ever threw it, but what few hits she was able to connect with didn't hurt him for but an instant before he healed right back up. And so, they were at a stalemate for what seemed an eternity, as the fight moved from the bridge, to the kitchen, back the hallway to the engine room, then out and down into the cargo bay, and eventually near the infirmary.

What Wolverine didn't know was that during the whole melée, River was probing his mind, learning all the secrets that had been locked away inside it, and when the fight found its way into the infirmary, River stabbed Wolverine with three syringes, the chemicals within having the combined effect of counteracting his healing factor just barely long enough for River to finish him off.
