Westley Defeats Turtle of Unusual Size
While making a journey through the perilous fire swamp, Westley had a tangle with a large rat, and defeated him. As it turned out, that large rat happened to be Splinter, and his pupil Raphael had witnessed the battle and sworn revenge.
Raphael revealed himself as Westley emerged from the Fire Swamp, and charged, but before he could get within striking range, Westley had already stabbed him through the eye with his sword.
Snake Eyes meets fate aboard Firefly-class Transport Ship
Snake Eyes, who was on a mission to assassinate Alliance fugitive River Tam, had snuck on board in the cargo hold, completely undetected by the rest of the crew. Slinking about the ship, imperceptible to normal senses, his intents betrayed him as River sensed his presence telepathically as they met on one of the catwalks in the cargo hold.
"You don't belong here. This isn't right!" River shouted. Jayne, in the next room, heard the commotion, and before he could make so much as a remark about the crazy girl acting up again, River knocked him out, took Vera, and blew Snake Eyes away.
Black Knight Bests Beast in Cosmo Canyon
Red XIII, on his way to his sacred ancestral home, Cosmo Canyon, via the secret pathway, when he found his way blocked by a Black Knight. Having sworn to defend his homeland, Red XIII sprung into attack, and tore each of his limbs off in turn. Beleiving he had won, he continued along the path, but the Black Knight then taunted him.
"Oh, running away are you? What are you, chicken? Come back and fight!"
As Red XII turned and charged, hoping to make a final killing blow, he slipped on a pool of blood and fell down the canyon.
Gordon Freeman Defeated by Half-Giant
Freeman, who was busy hunting alien life forms in some mountainous region of Scotland, came across some ruins marked with a sign saying "DANGER, DO NOT ENTER, UNSAFE." Beleiving his quarry to be inside the fenced-off area, he disregarded the sign, and soon after his electronic equipment malfunctioned. He found himself somewhat disoriented, and in a forest of sorts, and came across some beasts he had never seen before, and started beating them to death with his crowbar.
This angered the groundskeeper, Hagrid, who -- though Gordon did manage to evade him for a while and smack him about, eventually caught hold of him and ripped him in half.
